Delivery & site planning

Get your site ready for container delivery.

The entrance, access route and unloading area matter as much as the final placement spot.

Get your site ready for container delivery.

Describe the full route

Measure the entrance and identify turning areas, surface changes, gradients and any vehicle restrictions. Note wires, branches, signs or other overhead obstructions. Photos from the road to the placement area can help explain details that are difficult to capture in an address alone.

Prepare the base

Have your contractor plan a level, load-bearing location appropriate for the equipment and ground conditions. Consider drainage, support points, door operation and space for future maintenance. Site preparation should be completed before the delivery appointment is confirmed.

Agree on the unloading method

Check whether the delivery plan includes ground placement and which equipment will do the lifting. A crane, forklift or another unloading arrangement may require separate space and coordination. Establish responsibility for equipment, operators and access permissions in advance.

Organize delivery day

Provide a reachable contact and keep the working area clear. Have your order reference ready and inspect the equipment with the carrier. Photograph visible damage or discrepancies and retain delivery paperwork. Contact Northern before moving forward with installation if the shipment does not match the agreed order.

PUT THE GUIDE TO WORK
