BUILD AROUND YOUR BRIEF

Container customization.

Explore a configuration for the way you work, store, live or serve customers. Define the scope first, then confirm feasibility and pricing in writing.

Start with the shell

Choose a starting size, condition and access arrangement. Standard, high cube, open-side and double-door configurations suit different uses. Confirm usable interior dimensions and any requirements for transport after modification.

Doors, windows and layouts

Describe the number and position of personnel doors, windows, partitions and service openings. Provide a sketch and the intended use of each area. Structural changes require an appropriate design and confirmation for the supplied unit.

Interior finishes and services

Discuss insulation, lining, flooring, electrical fittings, lighting, ventilation, heating, cooling and plumbing. Specify preferred finishes and ask which components are included or optional.

Specialized spaces

Container offices, homes, pools, refrigerated storage, food-service spaces and sauna rooms each require different systems. Use the relevant product category as a starting point, then identify the changes your project needs.

Approvals and responsibilities

The written scope should identify design approvals, local permits, site works, utility connections, assembly and installation responsibilities. Do not assume a modified container carries a housing approval or transport certificate because the original shell did.

Send your project brief

Include product references, dimensions, intended use, drawings, preferred finishes, delivery ZIP code and target timing. Northern will review the request before confirming scope, availability, price and lead time.
