Buyer’s guide & FAQ.
A practical path from the first shortlist to a confirmed equipment order. Start with the job, then compare the configurations.
Choose the right department
For storage and cargo, start with standard, high cube or specialist containers. For occupied spaces, compare homes, offices and custom conversions. For marine use, compare engine model, power, shaft and control configuration.
Compare more than the price
Review condition, dimensions, included equipment and the intended use. Catalog prices are references. Freight, tax, site works and installation can change the total project cost.
Understand condition labels
New, used, refurbished and as-is describe different starting points. Request current photos and unit-specific details. A listing marked “condition to confirm” should be discussed before accepting a quote.
Check fit and compatibility
For containers, check usable space, access openings and site placement. For engines, check the boat’s manufacturer-rated horsepower, transom fit, steering and rigging. For specialized equipment, confirm power and utility requirements.
Request the paperwork you need
Tell Northern which inspection, certification, warranty or registration documents are required for the intended use. Confirm what can be supplied with the exact unit instead of relying on a category-wide assumption.
Place an order request
Add equipment to your cart and submit the contact and delivery details. Keep the request reference. Review the written equipment scope, timing, final total and payment instructions before proceeding.
